Children to school

The Xavier school consists of a nursery school and a primary school and with the FEF we are raising funds for the construction of a new school building. This building will provide the space needed to offer a valuable education to more children in Farato and the surrounding area. The construction of this building is estimated to cost 22,000 Euros. There is an urgent need for this new space; once the funds are raised, construction of the building will begin.
The foundation
Welcome! Thank you for taking an interest in the Farato Education Foundation (FEF). Officially established in 2020, the foundation’s primary objective is to promote education in the area of Farato, The Gambia. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to learn in order to create a better future for himself. By doing so, we want to contribute to the development and well-being of the people in the entire region of Farato.
